3 free credit scores

(Click the button above to see your credit scores for free)

I never have a credit card due, the only accounts negative that I had in a credit are medical bills (hospital bills) and some bill from the ambulance and 1 phone bill that i was unable to pay because i lost my job at that time (now I have a good job). However, is hard for me to repair my credit because i really dont have any clue about how i can do. Some friend of mine told me to contact with a 3 credit company and ask them for my free credit report. I did. Then, I called to differents agency and because I unable to pay a settlement in full I make arrangement to make payment plan with them. I want to know if is something else can I do to help me to built my credit?. I had a loan with my bank (usually 2 loan one in the past and one now that i pay very well so I guess that help me), however, because my credit score is only 530 nobody want to provide me with a credit card even a secure credit card from my bank so i really dont have any idea how i can improve my credit. I am hurry to buy a house but I need better credit to obtain a mortgage. Please give me some advice. I appreciate very much.

I need to know if this is a scam before I go through with this?

June 25th, 2011 by admin | 7 Comments | Filed in 3 Free Credit Scores

I am trying to rent a house and I replied to an ad on craigslist and the landlowner sent me this e mail.
"Hello Maia,

First and foremost, thank you for your interest in the home. I am available to show the house this week
if that fits your schedule.

Just to give you a little more information about the home, the water, trash
and garbage are paid by us. The security deposit can be paid in 2 installments if money is tight. (I know how that can be).
The house has a fenced in backyard and we do allow pets. The deposit per pet is a one time payment.
The house includes a washer and dryer, and we pay for lawn care so the renter does not have to cut the grass.
There is NO application fee (our company policy and guarantee).

I will be happy to show the house at an agreed upon time and date but I do require that all applicants and
additional renters who will be living in the home complete a free credit report to ensure their eligibility.
I have so many people apply for homes that I have to make sure they are qualified renters before I show the property.
This ensures neither of us will be wasting our time.

It is okay if you have bad credit (trust me). We just check to make sure that you don’t have several evictions on
your record. (We won’t rent if you have 3 or more evictions on your record)

I also had to recently stop giving out the exact address of rental properties before I am able to show them because
last time I did that the house was vandalized (I will be glad to send you the address right after your reply) I assure
you though that this is a very safe neighborhood. I actually lived in this home for 2 years (very cozy).

As soon as you can, please click and go to the secure website link below to complete the free credit report: (takes about 30 seconds)
Once you complete, I’ll call you once I receive the information from the credit company (very quickly usually).

http://cglreport.com/

*** You don’t have to send me your credit report.
Once you fill out the report the credit company automatically forwards me your name, email address and whether you have
had any outstanding evictions in the past 5 years to determine your renter eligibility. This is the only information I am
interested in. This is a soft credit report so it won’t touch your FICO score (which is why we work with them).

This process turns some people off, so I completely understand if you decide not to complete them. In that case, good luck
with your home search. I just want to be honest with you up front about our process, which does a good job of protecting
us from ineligible renters and scammers. Also, the site above is one the safest and most secure website for credit reports in the
world, which is good for peace of mind. I have worked with them personally for a couple years now.

If you are truly interested in proceeding, take a moment and fill out one of the reports. Let me know when this is done and
we can then work out the time and date to go see the home. Email me back once you access your fresh report. I will be forwarded
the information. (Make sure to include a valid phone number. I usually call within 6 hours of submitting your report. Then I can
forward you the address and we can set up a time to tour the home.)

If eligible you will also be sent an email with my office number so we can set up a time to go see the house and discuss any
other questions or concerns you may have.

Thanks,
Arthur Forehand"

Is this a scam or legit?

Question on rental scam.?

June 24th, 2011 by admin | 2 Comments | Filed in 3 Free Credit Scores

While looking for a home, we have sent several e-mails. Now, I have heard of the Craigslist scams, and I believe the two e-mails below are scams, even though they do not fir the usual scam, but I just need someone who has purchased a home, etc. to let me know whether they should be asking us to go to a website via clicking on it through e-mail, and if we should be so willing to get our credit checked for the supposed renter. Any input, information, real life experience, or information pertaining to this would be greatly appreciated. Let me know what you think

Hello,
Thanks for taking the time to email us about the place.
We thought we had the place rented last week to a young couple, but communication has dropped off. You are the first person to email about it since we put it back on the market . It would only be fair that we gave you the first shot at the property.

Normally, we would prefer a year lease, but would also be open to shorter terms. I’m sure that you will want to see the property before making a final decision. I would simply give you the address and let you swing by, but my wife is against blindly advertising an empty home online. Rest assured the home has been up kept properly and had a good cleaning and fresh coat of paint. Basic utilities are currently on, but we expect that you would get them put into your name fairly quick.
If you want to go ahead and schedule a time to see the property, go to the link below and print off the free copy of your report. Your score isn’t necessarily important, we’re just interested in
seeing that there are no evictions / landlord related judgments.
Here is the link: reportcredit.com

I am very open as far as appointments go to show the property. Any morning after 10am is fine. Just let me know when you have everything printed and be sure to leave me a contact number to reach you at and any desired time. I will call you to confirm a time and choose a place to meet.
Thanks for looking,

Sincerely,
Robert and Angela Banks

What is this craigslist scam?

June 23rd, 2011 by admin | 4 Comments | Filed in 3 Free Credit Scores

This doesn’t sound legitimate because he won’t give me the address of the house, told me to fill out a credit report with a website that doesn’t exist, and has no company associated with his rental. I also got an identical email response from another listing but with a different name. I think it’s a scam, but what are they trying to scam?

This is the text of the email reply:

Which credit scores are right?

June 11th, 2011 by admin | 3 Comments | Filed in 3 Free Credit Scores

I pulled up a few scores from myficoscore.com. One of those it showed me (equifax) was 660. Fast forward 3 weeks, and I pulled my free credit report, and bought my credit score from equifax. The score ended up being 94 points less….

Which one is accurate? I have not done anything in the past 3 weeks except pay all of my bills on time.

Parents, I need help learning how to boost my credit. Business and Finance section is slow tonight…?

May 21st, 2011 by admin | 2 Comments | Filed in 3 Free Credit Scores

Our mortgage consultant advised us to wait one year to get enough income statements to get a pre-approval. So what can we do until then to boost our credit?

*How do you use/pay your credit cards? Pay them off every month, double the minimum due, etc.?
*If we have 6 months left of a car loan, should we double the payments and pay it off in 3 months or just keep paying /month extra?
*If my husband is just an authorized user on our credit card in my name, does that mean it doesn’t show on his credit?

And lastly, can you really get a FREE credit score report? I know how to get a free credit report but the scores themselves. Do you always have to pay?

Feel free to offer any other advice. I really want to give my kids the house I never had so I will do anything to make that possible. Thanks. :)
