3 free credit scores

(Click the button above to see your credit scores for free)

Your credit scores are very important. Yes, I did say credit scores. You actually have 3 different credit scores from the 3 major credit reporting bureaus – Experian, Equifax, and Transunion. They each have a separate formula for computing your credit score.

They each have different information about your credit so they will each come up with a different credit score. They can vary by as much as 50 points or more. That could be the difference from a good credit score and a low interest credit card rate or auto loan and an average credit score and a high interest credit card rate or auto loan.

Just as it is important to get your free annual credit reports from the government’s program, it is also important to check all 3 credit scores.

But on the major credit score sites like Myfico, you have to pay $14.95 just for one FICO credit score.

A better option that can save you some money is to get a free trial to a credit monitoring service and get all 3 credit scores absolutely free.

You can get a detailed analysis showing exactly what factors are affecting your scores. You can get alerts whenever anything changes to your credit reports. This will keep you aware of any possible identity theft attempts.

And if you decide the credit monitoring service is not for you, you can cancel within 30 days and never be billed anything.

Your credit scores affect so much of your financial life that it is imperative that you monitor them regularly. Your scores from the 3 major credit reporting agencies can determine whether you get a job or not, if you get approved for a home loan, what rates you pay for auto, home, and renters insurance, and all your loan rates.

You are flying in the dark not knowing how good your credit is. Or how bad it is. Or you could be average and need to improve your scores to get a better rate or even qualify. But you won’t know what you need to do without your credit scores. Checking all 3 scores will give you a complete picture of your creditworthiness.

Check out the free offer for all your scores and learn more about the $1,000,000 in Identity Theft insurance in case your identity ever gets stolen. This extra service will ensure your information is safe from thieves and scam artists.

how can I get my 30yr mortgage changed to 40yr?

August 24th, 2011 by admin | 3 Comments | Filed in 3 Free Credit Scores

my mom & I went together on a house in 2008 because she didnt like living in my mobile. We have it down to 3,877.62 and loan is at 6%. Since that time my credit has suffered due to 3 major medical bills going to collection and a car repossesion(all during time I was on disability and my insurance was not paying my bills). My mom has now done a total about face deciding she wants to live in senior community and going to walk off and leave me to deal with house. I tried asking Chase if I could assume the loan, they said no based on my credit/income. My income is 47,000 a year, my scores are Experian 644, Equifax 574 and transunion 589 for rounded of 602. This is up from December when it was 589. I have paid off 2 of the 3 medical, and got another car and been on time with payments(14%interest). I also got 2 small credit cards and paying them off after letting it cycle thru one month, but never using to more than 30% of total max, just to build credit. My mom’s name will be coming up at any time on the senior housing waiting list. So I’m looking for ideas, I tried loan modification to lower payment and they said no until she is gone and not paying her half. Cannot refinance to lower % till I get to 620 credit score. I also just found out she signed a paper years ago when she was on California free medical program that any asset when she dies, the state can take to pay them back for 12 years of her free medical. She used over 90grand, so I have to get this place out of her name or everything I’ve paid into it will be lost to the state. Is it possible to refinance to a 40 year when you’ve been on a 30 year so you can lower payments and also remove one person’s name? Or do they only do that stuff for those with good credit?
Chase said that I do not qualify to refi on my own, even though my debt to income ration is very low because of my credit score. I cannot even modify loan because of score. I am confused why the person said it’s median, because even the credit counselour program offered by the city I live in, which charges nothing, said to take the 3 scores, total them, then divide by 3 and that is the score the bank goes by. My mortgage insurance is in place for 10 years, so that wont drop off until another 7 years, and my mom wont be here that long. The other person was confused about the 90 grand. That is how much my mom used from State Insurance. Say by some miracle of God I could make the payment on my own til my credit comes up, then refinance, still when I sold the house someday the state would take grand towards what she owned because her name was on the title. So I must have her name off the title before she dies, which at 80 could be any day. Someone once told me I could have her quick d

Equifax charged me thrice.?

June 21st, 2011 by admin | 3 Comments | Filed in 3 Free Credit Scores

Today I checked my credit score for first time.
1. I went to www.annualcreditreport.com to get one free report from Equifax guys. Once on the equifax site via annualreport.com, the free information didn’t satisfy me as it didn’t give me a credit score number.
2. I was tempted to buy score power from equifax and bought it for 15.95.
3. Then I saw some info was not correct and I disputed it. In total there were two disputes.
All done with equifax I went to my Credit card website and I saw that I was charged for 15.95, and again. What do you think what these extra s were for? For the free report or the two two disputes which I started?
Thanks.
That’s okay, but why did the charge me for twice when I had payed them 15.95 for the product.

Which credit scores are right?

June 11th, 2011 by admin | 3 Comments | Filed in 3 Free Credit Scores

I pulled up a few scores from myficoscore.com. One of those it showed me (equifax) was 660. Fast forward 3 weeks, and I pulled my free credit report, and bought my credit score from equifax. The score ended up being 94 points less….

Which one is accurate? I have not done anything in the past 3 weeks except pay all of my bills on time.

Good FICO, DTI High, Good Equity! Can I Refi a Cash Out?

June 2nd, 2011 by admin | 1 Comment | Filed in 3 Free Credit Scores

We are in dire straights. We have lived in our home in Charlotte area 15 years. Home is financed with Chase. Never had a late payment, not even 1 day day late on home or the Home Equity Loan we have.
Took out a Home Equity Loan 3 years ago. Never a late payment there either.
All total our bills are killing us. Want to Refi. Balance on home is K and Home Equity Loan balance is K.
Husband lost job, just got rehired on another contract but want start his new job till next month. He is a government contactor so makes good money but when the contract stopped the money dried up quickly.
His credit score however is absolutely no help, in the 500’s.
My FICO scores are 691 Equifax, 726 Experion, and 686 Trans Union.
Problem is I only gross 33K or so a year.
We applied online for a refi to payoff bills but were told my husband is no help on the loan because of his FICO scores.
With the DTI I am at 90% so I cannot get approved to refi.
The home is worth about 5,000. We have about ,000 in Credit Card Bills and Loans we want to pay off.
Can anyone out there give us an idea of how to refi, payoff the debt and get a loan.
What about going FHA with my husband as the co-x since he has the low FICO but has very good income to lower the DTI ratio? He makes about ,000 per year and it will be Federal Taxes tax-free as he will be working overseas for a year.
We really need some professional advice.

I'm not allowed to see my credit score (10 pts best answer)?

April 23rd, 2011 by admin | 2 Comments | Filed in 3 Free Credit Scores

Hello everyone, I’m currently 19 and I have no credit pretty much..I opened a bank account with wells fargo though. I used annualcreditreport.com and entered my info and I tried all 3 agencies and they all said I couldn’t view my report…I answered pretty much everything correctly and answered those questions about mortgage etc correctly as well. But the thing is that I tried last year and was able to see it where it showed something about wells fargo but it didn’t actually show my credit score. So I’m curious why it worked last year and now all 3 agencies are declining to show me my record?

This is what it says on the last page:

Free Score.com scoring?? ?

April 2nd, 2011 by admin | 9 Comments | Filed in 3 Free Credit Scores

I checked my 3 bureau credit scores today and they were MUCH lower than I expected. It was very inconsistent with the amount of positive credit accounts I currently have. I would have expected somebody with terrible or new credit to have the 600 score I did today. Funny, when I got approved for a new card recently they pulled my Experian score and told me it was actually pretty good and that’s the same score that was horrendous today. Does anyone know what scoring model Free Score.com uses or how accurate it is? It was just a total shock. Ive used and had good credit for 15 years and my score is that low??!
Just an update… checked my "FICO" score as some people recommended below and wow, it was a big difference. Instead of my Equifax being 604, it was 698 on myFico.com. Anyone looking for accuracy, don’t use any other site!
