Your credit scores are very important. Yes, I did say credit scores. You actually have 3 different credit scores from the 3 major credit reporting bureaus – Experian, Equifax, and Transunion. They each have a separate formula for computing your credit score.

They each have different information about your credit so they will each come up with a different credit score. They can vary by as much as 50 points or more. I am applying for my first Studio, its a low income housing complex that has a very intense screening process. They pull your credit report and it has to be at 650 or higher (Im at like 653 w/ Experian- but I dont know what bureau they use that might make my score a little lower. A coworker has suggested turning in a friendly statement of facts along w/ a copy of my experian report explaining any points they may possibly view as negative.

Please read the below and let me know if you think its too much? Its okay? Any advice much appreciated!

This is my personal statement regarding any possible negative points of my credit report in further detail.

Possible Negative Point 1- Large amount of money owed in total:
This is for one reason only and that is my student loan amount. I attend a private nursing school and have needed to take out a US Dept of Education loan on the tuition cost. I have been paying back interest that may be building up here and there, but the large amount of money I owe is due entirely to student loans. These are government funded loans and I am not scheduled to begin paying these back until 6 months after my graduation date.

My auto loan remaing balance is under 00, and per my credit report you can see that it will be paid off in full with 3 more months of regular payments.

Possible Negative Point 2- Low Credit Limit on Revolving Credit Card, and amount owed closer to the total limit:
I recently had a emergency large ticket item on my vehicle and had to turn to my credit card to help pay for the repair. Per my credit report you should see that I have only been over the limit once by error but have maintained this credit card in good standing and most often with very low balances since I received it when I turned 18 in 2006.

Things I would like to be considered:
I am 22 years old and am currently bulding my credit. I have never taken on a financial responsibility I wasn’t able to handle and my credit report should reflect that as well. I had a ,000 car loan that I obtained in May 2008 set to last for 4 years. Through timely payments and extra payments I will be done with this loan much ahead of schedule by the end of 2010.

I have also attached a copy of my Experian Credit Report in full detail as I obtain those free with a monthly subscription in case your source of credit reports don’t provide enough detail to support my facts above.

I appreciate you taking time reviewing my statement. I would very much like to be approved for this apartment and therefore felt the need to point out the reasons for any possible negative point of my credit report in further detail.

Harvard admission, my standings and plannings?

Right now I am a High School sophomore with hopes of majoring in astrophysics as an undergraduate and plasma physics as a graduate. After college I want to work my way up through the universities as a professor eventually retiring to research.

My GPA is a 4.0, I have no class rank because I moved to my current school district in May after being homeschooled for my freshman year. My parents put me into home-schooling because we had to move 3 times in under two months so they did not want to mess up my academics.

My current school has only two AP programs, English and Spanish. Through the aid of books and the college board I am planning to take 12 AP exams over the course of my high school career.

Im 21 and have had credit since 18. Ive paid off 1 car loan and have 1 outstanding. 3 credit cards.

My credit score was a low 641 because i was always using 90%+ of my avail credit. Last month i paid them all off and plan to be CC debt free.

Should my score now soar over 700? Ive never had a missed or late payment ever on any credit account.

Getting Ready for AP Tests?

I’m about to finish my junior year in high school and next year I will be in a senior. My schedule is not going to be very easy. AP Calc AB, AP Bio, AP Lit, Physics, and some other electives. I bought the Princeton Review 2010 Study Books for AP Calc AB & BC, AP Bio, and AP Spanish. I was going to take AP Spanish Lit, but the school dropped it for the next year due to a lack of interest. Anyway, with the abundance of free time I will have over the summer and most of my friends working, I decided to perhaps get a head start on studying Calc and Bio, teaching myself some stuff and basically being able to walk in the first day of school and know most of the curriculum. I am very strong in math and love it and I am not a big fan of science yet want a good test score to knock off some credit hours in college, so therefore I really want to get some head start and I don’t mind studying that much, especially with those subjects. As for Spanish, I taught myself the language in about 2 years, so it’s a very strong strength. I was considering independently preparing for the AP Spanish Language and AP Spanish Literature exam. There’s a teacher at my school who taught it once just this year and would be willing to help me independently prepare to take the exam. I also thought that if I do really well in Calc in the Calc class and using the book, I should try and take the BC exam as well. I don’t have a book for the English exam because I don’t know what the title of the real course is and what the book is. So here’s basically my questions:

1.Do you think it’s worth getting such a head start?
2.Should I take the BC exam too?
3.Will I learn sufficient information from the books where throughout the year I won’t need to study as much and the teacher can just fill in any gaps?

Please note I’m still going to enjoy my summer break.

What is this scam with registering for services and sending the confirmation number?

I get these e-mails from time to time stating "You are one of three people we are considering hiring" and then they direct me to go onto a credit report website, register and send them the confirmation number. "We need to check your credit report". I know it’s NOT legitimate, but do these people get money for getting people to sign-up?

The other one was for an online auction website, which I knew was total BS.

Do I even have a shot at getting into UC Berkeley?

I am 23. I would be transferring with credits from Antioch College. I left the school due to the fact that it was closing down. I left right after my freshman year despite the fact that it was going to close after my sophomore year because I didn’t want to continue to incur student loans without the possibility of getting a degree. I had a strong first semester, but my second semester I was sick a lot, sprained my foot, and then had to deal with the suicide of a close friend on campus. I am not trying to make excuses, but I wound up failing about half of my classes.

Antioch was an unusual school, and we had written evaluations instead of letter grades. I got fairly strong evaluations in the classes I passed. The ones I failed, I failed because I was too sick to attend them for a large portion of the semester.

I had a decent GPA in high school – a 3.57. I scored a 31 composite on the ACT, but this was right before the ACT with the writing portion came out. I am planning to take it again but I think that my score in high school is a decent indication of what my score will be if I take it again. I plan on utilizing a study guide to brush up on what I’ve forgotten since leaving school. I also took four college courses at Miami University. I believe I got three A’s and one B, but it might have been two and two.

In the time since leaving school I married a soldier. I’ve done some traveling. I’ve seen 38 of the 50 states in the US, including Alaska. I feel like I am a very unique and well rounded individual, but I am not sure how much the admissions board at UC Berkeley will appreciate that, or value it. I am not sure they will even stop to consider it. I know I do not have a blemish free academic record. I am not the type of student that is the epitome of excellence. I am the type of student that loves to learn and puts more value on absorbing the knowledge than grades.

So I guess I am wondering if I should just give up on any hope of getting in.. or if I actually have a decent chance, despite my flaws.
Yes, I could just go ahead and apply. No, I couldn’t do it in the time I’ve "wasted" on yahoo, since applications generally involve a rather lengthy essay and in my case, requesting transcripts, among other things. Furthermore, I am trying to narrow down my choices now but I will not be going back to school until about a year and a half from now, when my husband leaves the military. So there is no point in applying now. Finally, there is the issue of the application fee. You see, we do not have unlimited financial resources, so I don’t want to waste the cost of applying if someone else can tell me that I have absolutely no shot at getting in. No one can tell me for sure that I *can* get in, but I am fairly certain someone here knows enough about the process of being admitted to tell me if there is no way.

Y do ppl say lebron must prove he can win a ring wen kobe hasnt proven he can win 1 without dominate players?

Why is it that people say that lebron has to prove he can win a championship. If you watched Lebron’s documentary "More Than Just a Game" him and his 3 not very talented friends(similar to lebron and his recent teammates 2003-2008) won several AAU titles and then later on went on to win 3 state and 1 national championship for St. Vincent St. maryhigh schooll… Prior to lebron going there that high school was not even known and was in a ghetto part of akron ohio, lebron turned that high school to the #1 ranked team in the Nation, Kobe’s high school only won one state championship and that was in kobe’s senior year, lebron led his team to the state championship is freshman year averaging about 25 points a game.

After high school lebron even proved his talent again by turing the worst team in the nba and leading them to the NBA finals. Even without a title lebron has single handedly turned that franchise into one of the best teams in the nba.

The only thing that kobe has proven is that he has to have The best supporting cast in the nba to win a ring.

If Kobe never had shaq he would have 0 rings… And he would not be considered one of the best players that have ever played. I know alot of you guys will say yes he would have a ring "last years ring" but like the butterfly effect(even a small event can drastically change the future) if shaq never would have left orlando the lakers would have probably have gotten another player and gasol would have never landed on the lakers

I Think that we can all agree that Shaq was the Main reason for the succes of shaq and Kobes first 3 rings and being awarded 3 finals MVP’S even if shaq never had kobe he was destined to win championships.

He even proved his dominance by getting another ring with Dwayne wade. how many rings did wade have before and after shaq?

Shaq in his prime = gasol+bynum+odom(3 dominate big men) which= what kobe needs to win a ring

So why not give credit where credit is due?

I will even go as far as saying that lebron will need shaq to win a ring this year because his ability to score in the paint, draw fouls/get players in foul trouble…. and help stop players like dwight howard who dominate the inside.

Alot of you will say "well your boy Lebron has zero rings and has choked in the playoffs every year" well how many times(before gasol and bynum) did kobe and the lakers choke and not even make it out of the first round without shaq? hmmm 3 times and lakers fans say he is a great leader.

Yes kobe is a great player i cannot deny this but he is not the "God" that his fans make him out to be. Lebron has done so much more will so little at hand and has done everything in his possibility to try and get a ring while his teamates are letting him down every year.
