If Kobe never had shaq he would have 0 rings… And he would not be considered one of the best players that have ever played. I know alot of you guys will say yes he would have a ring "last years ring" but like the butterfly effect(even a small event can drastically change the future) if shaq never would have left orlando the lakers would have probably have gotten another player and gasol would have never landed on the lakers

I Think that we can all agree that Shaq was the Main reason for the succes of shaq and Kobes first 3 rings and being awarded 3 finals MVP’S even if shaq never had kobe he was destined to win championships.

He even proved his dominance by getting another ring with Dwayne wade. how many rings did wade have before and after shaq?

Shaq in his prime = gasol+bynum+odom(3 dominate big men) which= what kobe needs to win a ring

So why not give credit where credit is due?

I will even go as far as saying that lebron will need shaq to win a ring this year because his ability to score in the paint, draw fouls/get players in foul trouble…. and help stop players like dwight howard who dominate the inside.

Alot of you will say "well your boy Lebron has zero rings and has choked in the playoffs every year" well how many times(before gasol and bynum) did kobe and the lakers choke and not even make it out of the first round without shaq? hmmm 3 times and lakers fans say he is a great leader.

Yes kobe is a great player i cannot deny this but he is not the "God" that his fans make him out to be. Lebron has done so much more will so little at hand and has done everything in his possibility to try and get a ring while his teamates are letting him down every year.

Lebrons career playoff stats
Ppg:29.4
Rpg:8.3
Apg:7.3

Kobe career playoff stats
Ppg:24.6
Rpg:4.9
Apg:4.6

Shaq career playoff stats
Ppg:25.2
Rpg:12.1
Bpg:2.2

So who has had the biggest impact in the playoffs? Lebron has choked? shaq has been more effective by far then kobe has.

Lets face it shaq has been responsible for 3 out of 4 of kobes rings and wades ring. and people are giving kobe far to much credit than he deserves

Alot of you think to much on 81 points but lets take a look at the stats for that game
81 points
6 rebounds
2 assist
28-46 shooting
7-13 3pt shooting
18-20 FTA(18 of 81 came from free throw)

Yes statistically he shot very well but he But doesnt this show you that kobe is the second most biggest ball hog behind wilt chamberlin… taking more than "2" times the amount of shot attempts that game then the rest of the team.

Lets Take a look at lebrons 56 point game
56 points
10 rebounds
5 assist
18-36 shooting (50%)
6-12 3 pt shooting (50%)
14-15 free throw

Kobe took 10 more shot attempts than lebron so 10 shot attempts at 50% = 10 more points for lebron lands him at 67, kobe took 1 more 3pt shot than lebron which wud put lebron at 70 points kobe took 4 more free throw attempts than lebron so that would land lebron at "74 Points" no this not 81 points but it is close enough proving that kobe’s 81 points was not that immpresive.

Sallie Mae Financial?

September 3rd, 2011 by admin | 1 Comment | Filed in 3 Free Credit Scores

I am a woman who recently graduated from school. I got my student loan through Sallie Mae Financial. When I got my loan they explained that I would not have to make payments until 6 months after I graduate. Well I graduated in November of 2007 and now ( March of 2008) they are claiming that I am 0+ delinquent. I have asked and begged and pleaded for some explanation of this. They have repeatedly hung of on me, yelled at me, called me names (ex. whiney, and a delinquent). No one has ever given me an ounce of explanation. On 3/18/08 I recieved a phone call to my home around 8:15 at night. It was a woman from Sallie Mae stating that I am behind on my payments. I told her that I am aware and that I have spoken with approx. 20 other people regarding this matter and that what they are asking for my monthly payment is 0 more than my car payment and I drive a 03 Grand Am. She put me on hold and a man got on the phone, never introduced himself with a name just that he was a "floor supervisor". He proceeded to ask me how much my car payment was (191.23) and what kind of car I drive. Here I am thinking that he is going to help me or price match or something. NO! He told me to sell my car and get something cheaper, that I shouldnt have went to school if I couldnt afford it, and that I am angry because hes on being sympathetic or giving me free money. I was crying at this point begging him to lose his attitude and treat me like a human. He continued to yell at me and saying that he would find my credit information and use it and find my cosigners credit card numbers and use them too. He also promised to continuously pull my credit report and drop my score 100 points. I feel very violated and harassed to a point of no return. The police did end up getting involved. This is a total nightmare!

Thoughts on Kobe tonight….?

August 31st, 2011 by admin | 6 Comments | Filed in 3 Free Credit Scores

Lakers beat Mavericks with a injury-plagued team. Kobe was just amazing and unbelievable. I was watching the game on scoreboard on Internet, Kobe had one shot attempt in the first quarter, no points, 0 assists, rebounds, free throws and steals. But he still hit a key shot with 28 seconds left. I was wondering if he was playing because the scoreboard showed his name in bold type, that meant the player was playing but he was off. I think he was playing with caution trying to not get worse. He is playing through with a broken finger and had back spasms yesterday and scored season low 10 points. Hes not his self right now and not showing a lot of energy, but hes got a lot of credit tonight. Well other 3 guys helped him out with double-doubles.

Have a question about AP's?

August 30th, 2011 by admin | 3 Comments | Filed in 3 Free Credit Scores

Okay so next year I’ll be a sophomore (freshman right now) and didn’t take any AP’s yet.
My school doesn’t offer AP classes and i’m worried about that.
1) i’m gonna apply to top colleges but i dont think they’ll accept me because i didn’t take any AP’s in school. is that true? are my chances lower if i didn’t take any AP’s BECAUSE my school didn’t offer any (it’s a new school which opened this year)?

2) Can i do an independent study (by myself at home) and take it? is that acceptable? do schools allow that?

3) what are the chances of students who take the AP examinations to score a 5? (any stats?)

4) My school IS offering to let me take college classes on an actual college campus in Jan of next year. but i dont think it’s worth it BECAUSE a) I have to take the SAT this october b) it doesn’t look that good on your transcript c) i’ll be going in as a transfer student since i’ll get a lot of college credits (and colleges like Harvard and Stanford dont EVEN ACCEPT transfer kids!!) d) the college i’ll be taking college classes in a community college (blah!) e) if i mess up on the SAT (which i will since i’m taking it SO early) my chances of getting in an average college is done! :(

So what should I do? Independent study? or take the college credits? feel free to elaborate on your answer and explain more clearly! thanks.
plus, how hard will it be for me to get a 5 if i study by myself? *remember if i take AP classes, it’ll look better on my transcript!*
what did ya’ll get on your AP tests?
also, my dream college is Princeton…so does that affect this in any way? does princeton notice if you did an independent study? or that your school didn’t offer AP’s? will they still accept me (if i had a good gpa, sat score and etc) but just not having taken any APs?

what if i TAKE NO AP’s at all because my school didn’t offer it and not take the college credits either…will that affect my chances of princeton?

this is not my fault. i would’ve taken the classes if they were offered. :(
last question- i promise! – what’s a good amount of AP classes to take in all four years of hs?
10? is that too much? or too little? cuz thats the number i’m aiming for. or 20?
Someone please answer my question.
no links.
so you can chose to send in the AP test scores?
and what you’re saying is that the AP CLASS counts more than the test itself?

What is the best first car to get for myself?

August 29th, 2011 by admin | 6 Comments | Filed in 3 Free Credit Scores

I’m a 17 year old girl. I make about 360 a month once school starts. My mom has an 800 credit score so she’ll co-sign the loan until I earn my own credit. I heard they don’t give loan under 5,000 unless it’s a personal loan. I want a car that’s cute, maybe even sporty looking but probably not two because the insurance would be high. I’ve been accident free for a year. I turn 18 in 3 months. I want a car that had good mileage like 24-28 city and 32-36 highway (I drive on back roads a lot b.c of where I live). I want the car to last me through college without any problems so I’ll probably do a 4 or 5 year loan because I’m not going to drive it at college; only when I come home most likely. I just want it for my senior year so I don’t have to take the bus haha. Any suggestions?

Is it ok to feel stupid when entering college.?

August 28th, 2011 by admin | 6 Comments | Filed in 3 Free Credit Scores

Ok so I am about to go into college and prior to this I have no real experiences or practically anything to put on my resume just a temp job for two days with my uncle which is kind of pathetic and mediocre athletics. I didn’t do community service, volunteer, or anything. I got like a 2.8-3.0 weighed-unweighed w/e. so I am not a big academic guy, I wasn’t exempt from my EPT/ELM test and have to take it on Saturday with no real study time. Didn’t join clubs, just joined sports like freshman/sophomore football and varsity wrestling, and I wasn’t even that good I was decent to say the least. Idk I see all these kids with AP scores, exempt from the tests taking 100’s non-remedial classes not having to take the test, and pretty much living the life. I give them all the credit they worked for it and I see club people getting jobs, internships, and grants instantly. I want that too, now that I think about fuck all the bullshit that consumed my life I am going to take this as a learning experience to make myself better. I hope I do well on the test but just feel bad. Is that ok, to feel bad or jealous of them I mean I know they deserve all the money, not having their time wasted but I wish I could go back and correct my mistake of playing sports over worrying about my education.
Might have to join a fraternity and greek life to get ahead using connections. Sucks If I don’t get the classes I won’t I might just drop out of university and hit the JC for a while.
I think I am going to start volunteering, man if I have a kid I am going to make sure he doesn’t get into sports or let him know schooling comes first and to take advantage of highschool cause it’s free school basically.
Reason I said I have to join a fraternity is because I am considering being a business major but currently undeclared but still need those connections, they would be nice. I don’t feels as bad because like one of you said the smart kid probably feels bad they didn’t get to play sports or play in high school but they reap the rewards of their hard work, I get nothing in return for all the hours on the field/mat. W/e it’s in the past and I have to worry about this test and moving forward and not looking back like many of you said. Thank you guys for answering.
I am saying this because I did sports vs joining clubs, getting into AP when I could have (Was in Honors), and not taking advantage. but seriously it’s in the past now and from now on I will do everything even get summer school courses every summer when they are available and I am as well. I need to play catch up now it sucks but it’s life. =(

Is ivy league this stuff true? racially?

August 27th, 2011 by admin | 2 Comments | Filed in 3 Free Credit Scores

i found this, please read, is this true reguarding minorities?

Getting into an Ivy League school can be likened to winning the lottery: Pencil in a bunch of scantron bubbles, cross your fingers, pray to be struck by lightning. But instead of winning millions, you’re rolling the dice for the opportunity to impoverish your parents. (Or ruin your credit rating, or both!) Nevertheless, aspiring Ivy is a time-honored American pursuit, and no matter how improbable, impractical, and ultimately unpleasant the prize may be, thousands attempt it every year. Mostly, we do it for the free t-shirts.

What follows is IvyGate’s foolproof, guaranteed, 100%-success-or-your-money-back step-by-step guide to swindling your way into the school of your dreams.* Be warned: It isn’t always pretty, and a few of these steps (#3, section ii, second option) might make you go to hell.

1. Have perfect SAT scores, an off-the-chart GPA, amazing extracurriculars, leadership positions in everything, and the ability to leap tall buildings in a single bound. Duh. This one is a given, a prereq, if you will. Even the richest kid in the world won’t get in if he’s apt to flunk (or, more likely, drop) out.

2. Be from an insanely wealthy and/or well-connected family, preferably one with an Ivy League legacy. Apply early. While legacy admission standards aren’t as hilariously low as they used to be, a study by Princeton SOC professors Espenshade and Chung equates legacy status with a 160-point SAT boost (on a 1600-point scale) to the privileged few who definitely need it least. But that’s not what we’re talking about here. To guarantee admission, you need to be the child of a major donor, the kind who write seven-digit checks to their alma mater and have buildings named after them. One such Ivy Leaguer, the grandson of a prominent university trustee, told us about his admissions process, starting with an unconventional and star-studded campus tour:

my grandad flew to meet my dad & i [at the university], and i just figured that it was going to be a regular day of tours & walking around. however, when we got there we were met by a super friendly admissions guy. he took us on the regular tour, but then we ditched it because he said "it’s completely useless" (ironic, considering how much energy & money the university pumps into those tours) he took me around campus, and then brought me to meet a representative from the most popular department at the school, which i claimed to be interested in it. (later, i realized that he was one of the senior professors and chair of the undergraduate program) then they shuttled me over to the president’s office. i didn’t really GET that it was the president until they told me after we met. the meeting was brief, but looking back, it was quite an unbelievable opportunity. after lunch, we wandered around campus with another admissions rep, who told me all about undergraduate life.

After the jump: Anonymous Silver-Spooner (ASS) (Don’t be mad, ASS! We tease because we love/hate) continues his story and we offer five more tips for getting in.

As for his literal, ink-on-paper application, it was the same as anyone else’s:

[my grandfather] was definitely noted as an alumnus on my application – but not in any special way, just in that box where they ask you to denote any alumni relations. i submitted my application via Registered Mail (like everyone else…to make sure it got there), so there were no special addresses or markings on it.

This fits accounts from the Daily Beast’s admissions-side account. The admissions officer received ASS’s application was probably already familiar with his name, and knew to flag his app for whatever special treatment the Dean of Admissions prescribed. Would ASS have gotten in without his trustee grandpop?

i mean duh… there is no question that my connection helped me out. (i remember being worried at the time, but but looking back it was like "why was i ever for a SECOND concerned about not getting that ‘YES!’ letter?") at the same time, i don’t think my grades & sat scores could’ve prevented me from getting in.

ASS reports little special treatment post-admissions:

i don’t think i really had any special treatment once i got in (living in [shitty dorm] freshman year really drives home that point) i think the only ’special’ thing was that my adviser was eventually switched to the guy who chaired the department that i was, at the time, interested in. however, he was so useless that i would say that he made me a lot less interested in pursuing that path – i ended up choosing a totally opposite major.

3. Exploit your minority status, hide your white background, avoid being Asian. Espenshade and Chung estimate a 230-point boost for African-Americans, 185 points for Hispanics, a 50-point deducation for Asian-Americans, and nothing for Whitey. Currently, the Common App allows students to self-identify multiple races or none at all; thus, th

I am taking a college class as a Junior, and I am STRUGGLING. Any advice? Do chapter outlines really count?

August 26th, 2011 by admin | 3 Comments | Filed in 3 Free Credit Scores

I am taking a college level AP US history course. I love history, I am smart, and it is a fun class. Work load? That is what I can not handle. I am ambitious, but not very motivated or determined in general, and to go home and do hours of homework? Not my cup of tea. More often than not when I have hours of homework, I think about it, get SUPER stressed, and just end it all by saying fuck it and go to bed. I usually try to get up early to get SOME of it done and set my alarm but I am the most heaviest sleeper and will literally sleep walk over to my alarm (which is across my room) and walk back to my bed, tucking my phone (alarm) under myself so I won’t hear it. I never wake up during this, and I am only basing this off the fact I wake up every morning late with my phone under myself. Weird right? Anyways I was just wondering if you have any experiences or guidelines, besides trying my best not to procrastinate. The format of this class is every five days or so we do an outline, a test, and repeat. The outline takes me on average 4-6 hours. And it KILLS ME. It helps me to maybe get an B (my total test scores so far are D,D, and a B, which is just awesome) on the test but that is only if I am focusing during my outline and do it well. My best, a B? Lame. HELP!

Another question is in regards to the outline. If I completely bullshit an outline, just totally blow it off, should I redo it? Usually my outlines are 4-7 pages, but when I bullshit it, it is only 2-3. Granted I am a wordy person but that still is under standards. I won’t get any extra credit for it as far as the grade or even test but I am considering redoing it just for the fact to prepare myself for the end exam (that counts if you get college credit or not) in May. I am a really methodically person who can not STAND to do things half way (even though I end up doing that often since I procrastinate on just about everything to literally to the last second). I am on the verge of OCD and will do things over if not done to my complete, high standard satisfaction. My question is should I follow my OCD feeling that I need to do these over to do well in the end or should I not do it saving me a good 16-24 hours of free time and misery? As a side note, I also have class and lecture notes with all these chapters I bullshitted the outlines for.
I am getting all the outlines done on time, some of them I am just not spending 4+ hours doing them. Do not say I do not have "the attititude" for AP classes because A. This is my first exprience with AP B. I am willing to try hard C. My question was not whether or not I want to drop the class but how to do better so shut the fuck up!
